Ashanti:The Declaration Review

Posted by: urbangeek08 on: October 29, 2008

Ashanti has come a long way since her conrete rose album. You can tell that eventough it has been 4 years since her last album she’s still got it going on. Every track on the album in my view reflects her as now she is no longer a teenager she is grown woman who has been through a lot. Many people thought that her carrer was over and that she was never going to make it. This album proves that you can still R&B music that the touches the mind as well as the heart. Every song from her current hit good good all the way down to her top-charting hit the way that I love you every strong woman can relate to.

Favorite tracks:

1.)The Way That I Love You

2.) Girlfriend

3.) Mother

4.) Good Good

5.) Body on Me

I am very glad that Ashanti has matured a lot over these last 4 years. This is the type of music that I wished that more of the younger generation would listen to. Music that has meaning and it is not all about talking about women like trash. She is a great role model of displaying what a good album should sound like. She also co-wrote most of the songs as well as she worked with new producers.
